The Return of Light is a composition for choir and orchestra by Matthew Whittall. I had the pleasure of playing in the world premiere concert with the Tapiola Sinfonietta. After that performance, Matthew asked me to do a painting based on the piece. Over the course of a year this inspriation from Matthew eventually grew into a series of paintings. The original painting of The Return of Light is now the cover art of Matthew Whittall's CD "Northlands", available on the Alba label.
